Yes mate Du Mont was in this very Panzer , he was from a famous family of German Hugenots who practically disowned him for joining the Waffen SS.
I have a few shots of the Stug Abt 203 during this period , they were attached to the 29th (Mot ) Infanterie Divison during the advance from the Dneiper to Smolensk . They crossed the Dneiper with the assault troops of the 29ID under cover of the first Nebelwerfers used in action.
