wow, those are some nice shots Paul. That must be an awesome album following the Unit from time in Army Gruppe Center all the way to 1944 Greece!!

Are those early StuG III Ausf G's in the last pic there?

Yes they look like the Ausf G 43 version . It is one of the only Stug albums i've seen for sale that was still complete and named to the guy whose album it had been , i picked it up about 10 years ago and although i nearly sold it a few years back i realised the guy who wanted it was an album stripper so luckily i decided to keep !!

I wanted to share this rare photo. I already have one pic of this wreck that I have shared before...but luckily I just got another!!Here is the story for those who missed it before:

This is the Panzer IV Ausf B of Panzer Regiment 33 which hit a French Anti-tank mine laid by the French 16th ID on June 5, 1940 near Amiens, France during "Operation Fall Rot". All 5 crew members were killed and are buried right behind the tank. There objective was to attack the village of Dury, where the 16th was defending. The first wave of tanks that attacked were halted by land mines and anti-tank gun fire. Unfortunately this Pz IV fell victim to the land mines. However, the next day, after 5 attempts to take the village, the 9th Pz Div finally had taken Dury + Cagny, which led to penetrating the Weygand Defense Line.

Here are 2 photos of the tank from Marek Kruks book to start:
