    There are some good books on Hohenstaufen at this time they were part of II SS Panzer Korps and only just arrived at the Front in Normandy in late June 1944 , they were commited into action in the Noyers-Bocage area to attempt to block the British assault west of Caen known as Operation Epsom , it would appear that you man was killed during this fighting,
