    Some time ago i found a great link on how to read various German kennungen

    en verbandabzeichen, but I lost it.


    Does anybody have a good link (mine was in German). Would really appreciate it.

    I found this a while ago searching for the same. If you google 'German tactical markings ww2' and look on 'images' there are quite a few sites with info.

    Here is a site that has both tactical and Unit symbols that I use frequently. Click on "truppenkenzeichen etc"

    WWIIdaybyday.com

    The site is setup "user-friendly" and very organiized. It doesnt have ALL unit symbols......but shows alot of them throughout various stages of the war.
