Hello. This picture is not mine but i was wondering why does the soldier have a heer uniform and luft collar tabs?
Heer paratrooper maybe? Cheers

Well it's certainly a mixture of Luftwaffe and Heer insignia, at a guess i'd say a heer tunic with lufty collar tabs!...Very interesting photo!..

Take what you can get? Maybe he needed a new shirt and transferred the collar tabs. Or he was very confused

The supply situation for Luftwaffe troops in North Africa in the early days was bad. As a result Heer uniforms were often worn. This is quite well documented.
