i picked up this reichsarbeitsdienst photo album last week with 55 original photos in it for £33!

i got it on sat morning and in this there is what i think is a homemade christmas card with a candle drewn on it and its says this

erste kriegsweihnacht-does it mean merry christmas?

has alot of interesting photos with all there names etc

also i really liked this photo below of the kompanie boxing luftwaffe gagen heer

iam sure the album belonged to herman diethelm who was in the
reichsarbeitsdienst trupp 1 abt.7/162 and the albums photos starts in rheine!

p.s does all photo albums smell like my grans house???

Nice album!

It means First Christmas at war.

Army against Luftwaffe.

Your lucky it only smells of your grans, some smell of death if they have been left in a house with someone who has passed on!

thanks adi, will post more of the photos from it soon as I have a couple more questions and as its a first christmas at war album i will show more of the winter photos in snow etc there is also Luftwaffe photos in it (i think) well its got a few guys eating tea in a mess hall with each guys lockers behind them with their steel helmets on top and it is the Luftwaffe type eagle decal thats on them!
