Nice progression of shots. The weird thing is, from these photos, the guy looks older in the first HJ shot than he does in his boot recruit photo. Maybe it's just me.

Klinger, I think that hat is for a rail position with just the center part of the cocade, under the eagle.

It's a Reichspost cap. His blank collar patches identify the lowest postal "rank" of Hilfs-Postschaffner.
