Re: Hommage to Leon Degrelle
What you say about other countries and baggage is very true.
I totally agree with Generals who did their duty for their country {Germany wasn’t his county} without question, only to be horrified latter at what happened ‘behind the scenes’.
My opinion about him revolves around this.
His total denial and continued support of Hitler, even after confronted with the truth.
His treachery by supporting Germany while his own county was been subjected to tyranny.
A great man does not watch his countrymen’s enslavement; he put his own ideals aside and fights for his county.
Would you compare him to your own George Washington?
Yes he was brave and loyal towards his men, all of whom had the same ideals and would do anything requested of them.
The same could be said for Osama bin Laden.
Would you call him a great man, many will do so!!!
Degrelle was just another Quisling to many.

The above seems to be more of a philosophy and just an opinion, for sure. You keep referring to 'the truth'. What is the truth? Quisling? No comparison. Then are those, who say Quisling was a sort of scape goat and set up. (another story)
NSDAP42..Another fine batch of pictures of a great man. Thanks!
