Whateverits just an opinion.
I may be wrong, but I always thought that the British Army only used 2 models of Norton motorcycles, the 16H and the 'Big 4' (Model 1)?The one in the above photo appears to be a Model 20 which was a pre war civilian machine. The polished chrome tank is also incorrect for a WD machine, so I would imagine this particular one was "borrowed" from a local on the other side of "Der Kanal".
