The soldier wrote "Drontheim" on the back of the photo, but that is wrong. The photo is actually taken:"Aksla - Ålesund" in Norway

at "Nygaardsmyren" German barrack complex (in Norway).



Later in the war a slavery/work Kamp was established in this area. The workers were set to build the U-boat bunker "Bruno".
