    It says:

    "om 22.6.41
    auf dem Eufelturm*) in Paris.
    auf 100 mtr Höhe.
    bite**) der Mutter abgeben
    ."

    ...meaning:

    "on 22 June 41
on the Eiffel Tower in Paris.
at a height of 100 meters.
    please give to mother
    ."

    *) Misspelled: Should be "Eiffelturm"
    **) Misspelled: Should be "bitte"

Thanks a lot! I was at a total loss except for the date...

I think I've figured out the ranks of these guys, correct me if I'm wrong though, l to r: Flieger (guessing that's a pilot?), Unteroffizier, Feldewebel? and the rest also seems to be Fliegers... hope I got a few correct at least...

    I basically agree.

"Flieger" can mean "aviator" or "flier", but in this context it is best translated as "Airman" and does not mean pilot or even aircrew member.

"Flieger" was the designation for the lowest rank (a basic-level Private), in the Luftwaffe's flying branch (which included paratroopers), construction units and motorized air defense units; also in the medical branch for Privates who had not yet passed their occupational specialty test. (Afterwards, the rank designation "Sanitätssoldat" was used)

The other branches used other designations for this entry-level rank; for example "Kanonier" in the Flak Artillery branch or "Funker" in the signals branch.

Thanks for clearing that one up, the photo's nothing special but certainly worth the 1€ I paid for it...this one along with 2 others are the first one's I've purchased and more are already on the way
