    - Luftwaffe Feld Division- camo helmets/ponchos

    - Panzer with word : "Spichern" - Could anyone translate??
Also, do you think that the skull is a Unit Emblem, or just related to "Spichern"??

Well, I didn't know it at first... But I found out.

    It's the so-called 118er Denkmal ["118ers-Memorial"] at Worms commemorating the Infanterie-Regiment „Prinz Carl“ (4. Großherzoglich Hessisches) Nr. 118 See:

The huge gate in post # 736 is the Deutsches Weintor [German Wine Gate] at Schweigen-Rechtenbach: Deutsches Weintor (Of course it is identified by the caption in the album, so you had probably found that one already.)

Spichern is an alternate German spelling of the commune of Spicheren in Lorraine.

My guess is that the tank was named to commemorate the Battle of Spicheren (AKA Battle of Forbach) in the Franco-Prussian war. Battle of Spicheren - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

As for the skull, I cannot provide a definite answer, but I personally don't think it is a unit emblem as such, rather a general "Panzer troops" symbol.

Thank you very much for your insight HPL. I bet you are correct about the tank being named to commemorate the Battle. Interesting. The skull matches a unit emblem I found, but I think you are again correct in that it was just a design/panzer symbol.

I also researched the photo that was MisIDed as GD. It is the 10th Infantry/10th Pz Grndr Division. They were known for being prosecuted for War Crimes against civilians in Poland. Later, the division was annihilated in the battle of Kiev! An interesting history I thought was worth sharing
