Also, the General photo I posted earlier is General der Panzertruppe Otto Von Knobelsdorf, kommander of 19th Panzer Division. Im not positive, but I think the Major is Gustav Schmidt.....after a little research. But Im not 100% positive yet

It's the Denkmal für Markgraf Karl-Friedrich [Monument for Carl-Frederick, Grand Duke of Baden] at the Schlossplatz in Karlsruhe.

My friends,
I will receive tomorrow what will perhaps be the crown jewel of my entire collection in many ways. It is a private photo album that has belonged to a member of Allgemeine-SS and it holds photos from his service from about 1933-1935. This SS-man worked also as a post man in the Third Reich (there are some early TR post related photos), but the majority of the photos show the early SS in action. And if that is good enough in itself, there is more. This man served as a guard at Hitler's Haus Wachenfeld (The Berghof) and the photos from his service there gives us a unique and extremely rare insight into the daily goings-on at this very famous location.
So to the point: If there is sufficient interest for these photos I shall post the album in its entirety in a separate thread for the benefit of the fine members here!
I also hope that HPL2008/Andreas could be so kind as to share his impressive period knowledge if I decide to undertake this little project. There are many things I will have problems with identifying myself.
So are you guys interested?
A little teaser showing the east side of Haus Wachenfeld in approx. 1933 for you:

I think it is safe to say that there is sufficient interest...!
As collectors we are very pleased to beautiful photos.
also own a small collection berghof.
much joy during scan
Do your photos date from the Haus Wachenfeld period (1927-1936) like mine or from the period after the conversion of Haus Wachenfeld into the Berghof (1936-1952). What I like so much about mine is that they show the original (and much prettier IMO) house before the conversion.
