Thought shall be the harder , heart the keener,
Courage the greater as our strength faileth.
Here lies our leader ,in the dust of his greatness.
Who leaves him now , be damned forever.
We who are old now shall not leave this Battle,
But lie at his feet , in the dust with our leader
House Carles at the Battle of Hastings
Nice additions Don

Hi Carl,
Actually they are not aged using tea/coffee. I understand what you are refering to, but this is not the process in which the Russian Archive Fakes are produced. The way the Russian Fakes are made may sound intricate, but the process is quite simple and cheap. First, if you look at these pics, you will find that you can literally Peel off layer by layer of the photo paper. The top (first) layer is paper that is treated w/ chemical to reduce blacklight glow/etc. (note the waxy feel). Once the top layer is peeled away, the inside layers glow like radiation.....obviously modern paper! haha. These photos from what I have learned, have been printed using the Sephia Toning process, which gives them the yellowish or somewhat aged look. I have tested many many of these, and some actually glow less than others.....but all are Modern Prints in the end! Luckily these are one of the easiest fakes to spot. Happy Hunting guys.
Awesome pics guys! Chris, I love that Halftrack photo that Ned pointed out as well.... that thing is a beast.
Here are a couple portraits from my collection I colored today.
1st: Luftwaffe Ground Assault Badge in wear - Flak mann
2nd: Sturm Artillerie - this one was originally period studio colored already, but I strengthened the colors a bit
Here are 2 new Beautiful additions that came today!
-Panzerman from a Panzer Aufklarungs-Abteilung.
- Panzerman from Panzer Regiment 1 of the 1st Panzer Division! (hard to find photos of Pz Rg1) In 1940, Pz Rg1 was the only Regiment of the 1st panzer division.....composed of only 2 Pz battalions! (you can see the "1" on the boards if you look closely)
Both wear 1st Pattern Wraps
Awesome portraits Bill. I think they worth their money.

haha, I personally think so too Chris.....but Im sure some would disagree. My favorite is the Aufklarungstruppe portrait tho. That dude actually pulled off wearing the Beret. It looked goofy on alot of the guys tho, thats for sure
This one got a nice home now: little frame display w/ original Pz tab Skull.
- Colored portrait- copper brown piping
