Thought shall be the harder , heart the keener,
Courage the greater as our strength faileth.
Here lies our leader ,in the dust of his greatness.
Who leaves him now , be damned forever.
We who are old now shall not leave this Battle,
But lie at his feet , in the dust with our leader

Boys they are terrific photos, they really convey a sense of urgency and drama. There is something about the images shown in original photos like these that most writers just can't capture, in my opinion. Thanks for sharing them gents.
Just great! these photos really do capture the moments! An interesting part of History, im sure even more so for those of you who know the specific areas in the photos
I'll be getting some "now " photos when i'm next in Tallinn unless Dimas and his camera get there before me !!!

Super photos Paul thanks for taking the time to share. I guess if it takes making these buildings into apartments to save them, that's the way to go. I love the current photo!
Jay
Thanks Jay this photo was taken before the apartment conversion the building now has a glass roof but is still a good looking building !!

Hi Paul, great photos Mate. Im like you and try to rescue as many groupings as possible from greedy sellers. I have several from RKT Hptn Kark Glatzert (SP?) Btn Kom, and some with he with fellow RKT Wienke-also a Btn Kom and another with he, Wienke and Hemmann-their Rgmt Kom and one that Glatzert took of a Koed T-34. The rest were split by Rick White >;-(( and I couldnt rescue more. These all also went for astronomical prices. More I tried to save-were all from the 79th G.J. A.R. which is in the 1st G.J. Div. Of 80 photos ripped apart-I managed to salvage 20, as well as a Regimentsagesbefehl. Ive many more sad stories like this to tell.
Hi Carl good to see you posting back here mate
Unfortunately album stripping for profit seems to be commonplace now especially on flea bay , these photos were part of what would have been a superb historical item !!
Looking forward to seeing more of you here ??
cheers
Paul

Nice photos! At least now I know who left nothing to me from that German photo lot sold some months ago on ebay.de:-). I have saved copies from the whole lot (also Your pictures) but I'm not sure is it Ok to post them here because I own none of them. It is a shame that such lots are sold to different collectors but reason is pretty obvious - you will get much more if You will sell them separately.
