Photo of Hitler in a backyard
I have the opportunity to buy a photo (not a postcard or other commercial item) of Hitler in a backyard. The photo was taken from a dead or wounded german. Story is it came out of the guys wallet.
My question:
1. How to tell if its real and not a reprint?
2. What would a real purchase price be.
3. What would the worth be?

The blacklight is a useful tool to use on old photos.
Price will depend on size, condition and clarity. Offer what you feel is a fair price and what it is worth to you.
I cannot advise on a value sorry. But it would really help to see it on the forum.
Cheers, Ade.

Yes I agree with Ade, post some clear shots of the front and back of the picture. We have experts on this forum, like Ade, who would be able to assist you.

Excuse my ignorance, but what would one see when using a black light on an original and a fake? I know that cloth materials will shine, does the same apply to photos?

Hi Tom, yes just the same effect. I actually think the blacklight is more useful on paper than on cloth.
Cheers, Ade.
