    It's from "Die Bruecke" The Bridge", the German postwar movie about a group of youngsters who are ordered to defend an insignificant bridge. It's on Youtube.

    Gday gents,
    I went in search of an image that showed the "gameface" from a different angle.The image was quite grainy and I thought it was period.I didn't realise it was from a movie.Thanks for clearing that up.
    Still I shows the two extremes rather well.
