Not too much. They are definitely two late-war privates of the Waffen-SS. No distinctive unit insignia are worn, though. The man on the left is wearing the two-piece camouflage drill uniform introduced in 1944, so the photo was taken no earlier than that. From the signs in the background, I would say the photo was taken in France (or possibly Belgium).

Not unusual to see private soldiers with pistols around town at this later stage in the war: troops were order to be armed when around town due to increasing Resistance activity. They would not wear these at the Front.
