SS soldiers pocket photo album
I have this lovely photo album of a SS soldiers wedding day. I like collecting personal items such as these for they give a personal touch about moments in a persons life. Seemed like a happy couple! Not a looker by any means. I liked the photo of the female LW in her dress tunic with 2nd pattern dolch with portapee and knot.
Note the totenkopf on the right collar tab, and he has a cuff title on the left sleeve of his great coat in the last photo
Well, it's not her dress tunic.... Women wearing the uniform of their husband/financee/boyfriend for a photo was common enough (there are countless examples of this), but this is the first one I've seen showing a full swap with the man wearing his woman's dress!by humble collector

The photo is rather odd. A total swap in clothing maybe a odd tradition or a joke of a photo op?
That's no tradition; just having a bit of fun for the private album.
As I said, having a lady wear a man's uniform for a private photo was very popular (despite being expressly prohibited), as the soldiers thought it to be funny and/or cute*. But going all the way... now that was not so common.

He was in Infanterie-Regiment 62.

I have a. Super nice Waffenrock captain I believe 24th Artillirie. I suppose I can dig it out sometime for show and tell
