Article about: Hi. I need some help with the translation of the back of this German POW camp French postcard. It was sent from camp Torgau in 1943. If anyone could help me, I'd be very greatfull!

    My dear Mèle, i receved your letter of the 5th of may. I undestand of much you are alone.. Me too, i'm sufferring and ....but I don't understand what you tell about Jeanne. I don't understand. I must wait for the liberation.
    I'm happy that Mme is allways with you in this sad period. For the money(mandat) i hope you can have it.
    I'm allways in the infirmary(32 days), but it 's soon finished. I embrace, Jean

    I saw the house of this woman, (google).
    Her name is not in the city and I don't find this soldier in the lists.

    Would you suggest it might be a fake in that case? I'm not paying a lot eitherway but I'd like it to be an original, obviously.

    That doesn't make it suspect. Prisoner of war lists are not not complete and people move, die etc. Looks interesting, should not be too expensive.
