A nice German 2 cm flak round found near a position on the Dutch German border near Roermond in the Elmpter Vald. Unfortunately it was live so went straight back in the ground. The casing was brass so was in excellent condition.

Straight back in the ground? Better off letting the authorities deal with it. Or are you hoping that another couple of years will naturally deactivate it? Hah!

It's a pitty I have never found any brass casings, only steel. Would like to find one once (empty offcourse)
