after a bit more research i found that one of those nickels is indeed a Jefferson nickel (1938–2003) dated 1940,pre wartime. The other a Indian Head / Buffalo nickel (1913–1938).learning all the time! i'll keep you posted

K5 38 Kynoch (I.C.I.), Kidderminster, UK (1944)
DAC 1940 Dominion Arsenal, Québec, Canada
.50'S
TW 43 Twin Cities Ordnance Plant, Minneapolis, MN
LC 43 Lake City Ammunition Plant, Lake City, MO

Looks like your headstamp list is being put to excellent use

Give it a year or two and you'll be very sad like me and not need the list, you'll remember the codes anyway

Always very impressive when someone comes to talk to you when you're digging and you can tell them the year, calibre and manufacturer of the cartridges !

A few more finds after a short break.
The head stamps are; for the
.303 LC 43 Lake City Ammunition Plant, Lake City, MO
50'S LC 43
U 43 Utah Ordnance Plant, Salt Lake City, UT
The coins ; a nice 1943 THREE PENNY, unsure as to the others,the small one i can make out VICTORIA and the other GEORGE but nothing more.
Finally Bonus points if you can tell me what the item in the last pic is oh and is that button,with the stars issue?
