    Default Artefact identification

Hi . This is my first post on the site can any one help with the identification of any of these artefacts which I found on a ww2 airbase that was used up until the 60s by the RAF .
I presume the larger brass cartridge bases are from flare pistols or similar( the largest is 42mm diameter and the middle two 30mm.
The bullet casings appear to be blanks but I am unsure of the calibre they appear to say rg ,71, and some other lettering.

The vaguely round / ring thing on the right looks like a head gasket from a small combustion engine.

Hi and welcome to the forum. I've moved your post over to the archaeology forum as it will be seen by the relic diggers there.

I'll check the bits out later.......just making dinner !

You are correct about the flare cartridge bases.

The bigger item with the holes around the top reminds me of a wick holder from an oil lamp.

    Any markings on it?

The cartridge bases are (btm to top) 1.5", 1", 1" and .410 Shotgun cartridge.
