Unfortunately the name of soldier is unreadable. You can see the paper has a signature of SS Haupsturmfuehrer, added with pencil, but the name of the soldier has been written with typewriter, and what I can read is Oberschar?

I am affraid now to make a gifts for a museums and it born a joke between us.
Looks like in Estonia you are allways can buy all you want- just depending of the price
Here is two of the helmets which we gave to the museum, and the sold them for 5 pounds each. Even the Heer helmet was belonged to the Estonian Legioner

Maybe they don't realise the significance of the Helmets you gave them especially the Estonian volunteer one but you are right Dim it is disappointing

We wouldn't have bought it if we knew it had been donated by you.

Maybe they have to try and make money by selling things to keep it open but as i understand it from Ivika they do get funds from somewhere around Narva.

Selling an item by museum staff thats been donated to a museum is shocking , more so when the item comes from a fallen Estonian volunteer , makes you wounder where the money ended up , very sad , cheers Raymond
