    Thanks for the info, will compare his claims against RAF losses and see if I can pin down who he shot down!
    Might be a challenge, Battle of Britain Then and Now records six single engine kills by 110s on 27th September!

    I think you chose the most difficult day to start with!

    I 'googled' Sidow and the Hurricane on 3rd September was R4224 of 17 Squadron flown by Squadron Leader A G Miller - there is a picture of the Hurricane in Osprey published book Hurricane I vs Bf110: 140 by Tony Holmes. Sidow does gets a mention but I couldnt see a photograph of him though.

    The Spitfire on that day would seem to be limited to X4262 of 72 Squadron assuming that a) it was a Sptfire and b) the other Spitfires on that day are correct;y accounted for in BoBT&N.
