Battledamaged beautiful finds

Article about: They obviously never knew what hit 'em. But it is sobering to realize that indiviuals died wearing those lids... heads turned to strawberry jam.

    Thanks for your kind comments Tom, Eugene had the tabs in his mouth because he wanted to prove to me that he still had the tabs in his possesion. I was afraid that he had sold them to someone else.

    Alan you have some very nice relic pieces , can you post some more photos of the Ritterkreuz , the rear and close up's etc.

    Do you know any more of the story regarding where it came from and how it was found ? It may be possible to work out whose it is ??????

    Thank you for your kind comments Paul. The man that I got it from did not have any more details other than it supposedly came from a pilot's crash. From the length of the ribbon he was very small or had a very thin neck.
    I'll take a few more pictures and post them for you.
