    Hello Guys

I just came back from a trip to some Soviet positions. We found an area with both German and Soviet positions and they have never been dug before. I am too wasted to post pics now after almost 4 days but will post pics ASAP! Found a 1933 Molot Factory Mosin rifle and a lot more of course. It's not often you find clean positions. Lot's of history there to be found!

    Cheers, Lars

I learn something all the time, up to this point I had assumed most of the locations had not been dug before,,seems I am in error. Thanks for that piece of information. JT

Many locations have been dug but there is still a lot to be found anyway Sometimes you get lucky and find untouched areas.

    Cheers

    Hello guys,

So here are some pics of some finds. I will as always also post a video from the trip. I like to make videos because it captures the experience better.

A strange item i am not too sire what is for. It looks like a mount for a machine gun and cannon but then again not It is very heavy and thick construction.

Some German rounds from 1936 and stamped with the Polish eagle. Never seen these before either.

Here we found a lot of RPG 40's. Soviet anti tank grenades. Quite rare as they rust away quite fast. A few Soviet F1's as well.

A Ssh36 in OK condition. We also found some Ssh 40's but they are in the video.

A German drum magazine for machine gun. I have posted it in a separate thread to find out what it's for.

    German 150mm shell. Fired.

A very nice condition 1933 Mosin rifle. The bolt i found about 8-10 meters away. I will guess it's from a captured Soviet soldier because bolt and rifle are separated. A few RGD33's and a PPsh mag as well.

Nice finds mate, I always enjoy your updates

The drum mag actually looks like a British Lewis gun magazine, but the rounds do look like 7.92 German rather than .303. I counted the 'bumps' around the edge of the mag and they match the Lewis mag at 25. Strange

Possible explanation - Lewis gun of Czech origin chambered for 7.92x57mm Mauser ammunition.
