Battlefields in North Karelia( SS-Nord Division)

Hello,

This is very amazing, I wish that I could dig like that! unfortunately, there isnt much interesting items to dig here in Canada... just rocks :/
This has inspired me to go travel and do some digging myself! It is horrible, though, to think that every skeleton, every skull, belonged to someone, a real person, who was killed. I wonder who it could have been. How old were they? 16? 19? 30? It really touched me when I see photos like this, its a reminder to my generation (im 14) of the tragedies that can happen in war.

But I think you play down the mosquitos. Are you one of the lucky guys who don't get eaten alive?

(I'm from near where you dig, and those bugs are diabolical, especially in July)
