I like the Peddocks island ones. I liked the Shutter Island flick, so it was nice seeing where it was filmed

With certain structures similar to the harbor defenses of San Francisco, with which I grew up as a child and a source of endless joy to me.

    Friedrich,

Excellent article! I can not imagine the fear on the west coast, After Pearl Harbor..........

On the east coast I know a U-boat tried to get into Boston harbor but set off a motion alarm and knew it, so it fled back into the sea.

Attachment 876777This work by a colleague of mine I can recommend with enthusiasm. Chin is a native San Franciscan, as am I, and his work is a labor of love.

San Francisco had somewhat less of the second world war than, say, Berlin or Warsaw, or Honolulu.....
    Very nice! Thanks!

Attachment 876778This work originally appeared in the 1960s and was updated. It is a classic. I do not follow this field anymore, but it was my job in the 1970s.
That sounds like a wicked fun job! Thanks for sharing again the excellent article!
