Wow, i must be in favour , three days and no comments about me from Steve ( longshanks ) T, he must be slipping, in fact i feel quite insulted that im not being insulted for once, just goes to show how abused i am and now i come to expect it, hope i dont get withdrawal symptoms

Ok peeps, as Steve just made me go take a photo, i thought it about time to upload these also.

Here is a few bits I found.

I kept finding these and was sure I knew what it was, so I just took one to make sure. Sure enough, its the top of the American M1910 shovel, that was replaced by the M43 folding shovel. Guess we know where some of the surplus went to!

I haven't a clue what this is, but its one of those 'things' that might be something good... or more rubbish, anyone know?

But, a bit more interesting is this first part to a Sten Mk 5 stock.

Nice bits DM. The Mk 5 Sten stock is great and just what I said it was at the time

The other bit you've got you will need to clean up as it is part of the mechanism of a BESA mg. I got some on our very first RRPG visit to the site, as well as John, and I managed to ID them some time after the event. I've got a picture somewhere.......

    ***goes off to find it***

    Got it !

    Here ya go......

Whilst its exact use on the weapon hasn't been 100% confirmed, I believe it is the mechanism for locking the barrel to the breech. The arm is meant to move up and down, yours being in the 'up' position (or unlocked position). You can see it at the part where the barrel assembly joins the breech assembly.
