d-day Point du hoc Grenade rack

Very nice M24 Stielgranate rack! It is the type of rack that would be inside the 15 grenade steel case. The detonaters would be in two wooden boxes in the slots, and would be placed inside the grenades before use.

An this piece of bread bag is coming from the inside of a bunker, in the 60's...

it is burnt

That bunker is right on the cliffs as you know, perhaps this rack was holding the grenades the defenders threw down onto the climbing Rangers. Really nice specific piece of history mate.

I was at the ceremony at the point du hoc for the 40th anniversary of D-day in 1984 when Reagan was there with the Rangers.
