Demjansk Relic Collection

Here are some relics picked up from the last trip of the season. The trip went to Demjansk. We had very limited time there and did not made it to search for the place were Danish Obersturmbannführer CF v Schalburg was killed. Next year hopefully. All is found in the same bunker. I would actually like to sell the lot as one group. I know it's not the most interesting items, but being from the same bunker is pretty neat IMO. Of course we can discuss to leave out some of the items. Winter is saving up for the spring/summer digging time.

Defense of Leningrad Medal. Managed to recover even the hanger eyelet Wonder what it did there with all the German items












An item i don't really know what is. Looks like a belt buckle

Last item showed makes me think of a match box holder!
Seems like Charlemagne guy's have been fighting there, as the spoon with French inscription might sujest...

Probably the Russians were in these trnches at some time or even a POW ( A tongue !!) hence the medal plus the spoon will have been picked up in France after May 1940 before the unit headed East things like this turn up from the Eastern Front all the time , domestic items etc from farnce , Poland etc.

Thanks All I know is that it was found buried in a collapsed bunker in the area around Demjansk, unfortunately I don't know the exact location.
