    I needed a trip to the forest today so I went to a WH camp I just barely have done some searching on. Foundmany dumping pits,lots of rubbish and one nice MP38/40 magazine

    @ RKKAFan , yes,it is a thermos, I hope to find its lid next time im searching there.

    @Greatwhite, Thanks, that is a difficult question,,It might be the Panzer antenna base I found in Kurland a few weeks back, at least for the moment it is. Also the messenger tubes for Army dogs I found on a Gebirgsjäger capitulation site here in Norway last year is an item I love quite a bit.

    Sunny and warm up north today so I might go for a dig in the afternoon when its cooled off a bit,unless I find my hammock and some cold brews before that
    Here is a few pics of two items I kinda like.

    Art of War:

    A piece of the floor of a Pz IV , heavily damaged by detonation and shrapnel. Found near German positions in Kurland together with lots of other Pz IV bits.

    A horse comb with a melted bottle stuck to it. On the melted glass is the imprint of a cloth bag that got stuck to it.Found in a Heer camp in Northern Norway.

    Began digging on a large dumping pit today in a Heer camp which housed liberated Red Army POWs the spring and summer of 1945. Dug less than half of it today and man was there alot of metal in it, have work for days now

    Fresh off the Workbench. This time I ve made a miniature of a fellow collector and ww2 enthusiasts militaria shop. Hope you like it The base is a 75mm shell casing found in a dumping pit near german fighting positions in Kurland where we dug out tons of bits from a blown up Pz IV
