My greatest fear is that one day I will die and my wife will sell my guns for what I told her I paid for them

Spent the last couple days going through this...phenomenal...wish I had seen this a couple years ago
When I was in Norway a couple years ago, I did some treasure hunting. All I want to find was one neat little relic to commemorate my 8 months over there...I tried using a military CMD, but as you can imagine, those are meant to penetrate DEEP into the earth and sense even the slightest trace of metal...was going off non-stop. I was on a former Luftwaffe base where at least one plane crashed during the war...
All I ended up finding were two buried oil drums and some sort of cog. I posted it on WAF hoping someone could ID it as a vehicle part...never got any replies.
I also tried my hand at magnet fishing, and was able to find some shrapnel from a bridge the Norwegians blew during the invasion to keep it from falling into German hands. That was the extent of it...seeing this thread makes me wish I could have gotten out further and more often.
Have you tried magnet fishing? Might be worth picking up a setup...lightweight and you never know what water you may stumble upon, especially in Norway!
Stay warm and dry!
BTW...you PM inbox is still full. Can't send you a PM about relic helmets.

I have noticed these unmounted miniatures pop up from time to time at around 400kr. Just as I've noticed they seemed to have been used in supporter stickpins. I suspect, but have been unable to find any info, that when the Tapper & Tro medal was disapproved for military use and the NS converted it to a civil/political award, covering the '1941' with this crest, that they produced a massive amount and the stickpins were another way to use these.
I, too, have been searching for Raven stickpins...if they're not easy to find in Norway they must be incredibly difficult outside of Norway. I have managed to pick up a couple of party pins and a supporter pin, but no Ravens yet

My latest miniature project, completed a few hours ago. It is a 1/35 figure from a Dragon kit, painted up and placed with a small piece of groundwork depicting a forest, to a part from a Russian RPG-43 grenade found in Kurland.
