We start late April/early May. We have a plan on going out very soon again before the season closes. We drive at least 350 km each way so not a thing we do every weekend, sadly

Nice jack btw. As Steve said, the driving charge in the tail end of most mortar rounds are just a shot gun shell filled with gun powder. Normally not dangerous.

Its been a few days since last update,had some stuff needing to be done and some days was a horrible rain weather. Managed to get outside today,and went straight to an area where ze germanz had some stables during the war,and after the war it was supposedly used as a large dumping area. I spoke With a guy at work last week and he is going to try get permission so we can go there With a tractor or CAT digger to make some decent holes in the ground..I had lots of hits on the detector and soon had a little pit going..

Didnt really find any interesting bits,but it shows that this Place need more digging..

A pioneer Axe and some horseshoe Tools I think..

Wrench and axe are good finds, not the most common here. Keep searching.

Yes,I have the broken plates at home,they are kool

I didnt go to the Coastal fortress today,but to the stables area instead. Ofcourse I forgot my camera at home:/ But opened up a good hole and found some stuff,,I`ll probably return there tomorrow and finish it up..
Here is what I dragged home this time,just rinsed it with water,the metal parts will go into oxalic tomorrow

Two knifes,the one still in it sheat is a so called Finland knife,saami style,popular with the german troops fighting in Finland.

Hi Inka,

The "Strange part" you refer to is part of the frame of a wind up clock, possibly a travel alarm clock due to it's fairly small size. Here's a representative example, but obviously there are many different types.
