    Nice, interesting finds. Its all about the time and care put into research before even setting foot outside the home. But, sure enough, if you don't dig you don't find!

    Yesterday's foray into the field where he was previously the Iron Cross. Unfortunately, did not survive the Nazi party badge in good condition.

    As an American, it always amazes me to see people casually digging up coins and artifacts that are hundreds of years old or even more. In This country, the oldest thing we might encounter is a stone arrow head, and the laws in the State where I live prohibit a person from even picking one up if you see it lying on the ground.
