Here are the finds from the first day of digging:
Rifle rounds:
.303 round from 1944, must have been there with British/allied forces during the cleanup, I wonder what they fired at...
Krag Jørgensen rounds from 1943(I think they mostly used Krag Jørgensen rifles there, I have found no other German rifle rounds than these):
Krag Jørgensen rounds dating from 1943-1914:
20mm shells:

Looks like some of the trenches is artificialy closed back, try to look there, and find small holes in the ground, which Germans used as a garbage place, it's will be most interesting place.

Yeah, the landowner's brother told me that a lot of ammunition etc was dumped in the trenches post-war and then filled in with big rocks. I have a signal in the trench, but I haven't been able to get to it yet. If it wasn't for me not being much of a big muscular guy, I would have torn that trench apart by now. I'll look for the small holes in the ground, always nice to find a garbage dump. I want to try to get the landowner's brother out on a hunt with me(He said he wanted to, I'll try this summer) so he can tell me more about the history of the battery and find some more stuff.

Very beautiful site!
Hi great shots, as said, that trench to the AA position would have been a perfect place after the surrender, to dump lots of stuff, then push the rocks in ontop....if it was me i would start at one end and work in...BLOCK AND CHAINS...
Actually it's a trench running from a barracks/bunker to a cannon emplacement. I was told that a lot of stuff lie buried under there, but most of the rocks are giant, and you'd need a digger to get them out. I'll try and see if I can move them some more when I get there again.
