Very cool mate, great area. If you find a helmet in one of the bunkers pm me

I doubt there will be anything to find in the bunkers, but if I do find a helmet, I'll PM you. Not to sell it, but to brag about it
I asked the landowner about what happened to the field gear, helmets uniforms etc. And let's just say that if this thing works out, you might be getting a brag PM, or a dozen...

[QUOTE=rra227;605631]That must be fun. Here all I can find are Indian arrowheads and the like. Rich A. in Pa.[/QUOTE

Rich, nothing wrong with that. I live on the west coast and can only find arrow heads in secluded areas of national parks such as Lake Tahoe or Yosemite.

Our European friends have access to more than what we can only dream about.

Haven't had the possibility to go out there for a while now(Nearly a week now ). I am currently about 20 km away with no transport and my bike is out of action.

The last time I was there, it was more of a "Clean up" trip, I moved a lot of rock from the trench and around one of the cannon position. One of the things that annoy me the most is that I can't really call it "Cleaning up" since I am cleaning up after a cleanup, haha.

Cleaned up some of my finds:

I have no idea what these are called in English, they are a sort of "powder paper" or something.

The rifle cartridges will probably get a soak in vinegar

One of my best finds so far, part of a matchbox holder. It has a viking ship on the front, and you can just barely make out "Norge"(Norway):

Yeah, nice matchbox holder--- love the before and now shots as well, that's one of my favourite things to do when visiting sites with known photos from back in the day.

    Thanks for the comments!

I'll see if I can clean up the matchbox holder a bit more

I think I'll be able to go back there next week, meanwhile I think I'll do some fishing, hehe

Also, I think I finally got it right!

Great before and after, I find it is really hard to get the angle right when trying for shots like these.
