A couple more, the control knob with the bakelite knurling is the aneroid out of an altimeter or similar. In the first photo the shiny black T section piece with the hole, centre right, is part of the cylinder head/ rocker cover cooling stuff. I know no more!
Thanks guys Great stuff Just need PB to come through with some more IDs so I can put a display together.
In the mean time, here some more bits cleaned. One of them is the bit you asked to look at more closely 381st, but I think it is a dial surround.
Big bits first. Some of these bits look like framework for windscreens.
A couple of hinges
Some little bits
More little bits. One appears to have a guide wheel for a cable/control wire on it. Electrical connector far right.
A thing with holes innit
Cabling. Damn sturdy stuff. Most of the outer bit appears to be in brass/copper except one set of strands which are stainless steel.
Two pieces that look like dial surrounds to me.
A couple of bits and a data plate from a small pump ?
Close up of the rubber loop
Close up of the data plate
Only another two bags to get through !
I saw some aircraft crash in vietnam museum and I have some comparison:
This thing look like aircraft frame
vietnam war stanless steel aircaft frame
This is certainly hydraulic pipe . It use to moveing oil, gas, etc.
In Vietnam war museum
the thing is use to hole hydraulic pipe.
And one sincere advice : If you don't no what is it, you just put all thing together and write the tag : pieces of B17 aircaft craft in ......... during WW2.

Thanks Chu.
Any more for any more ? I was hoping to get a few more bits IDd to be honest
What are the markings on the on-edge piece?
"Dogbone" mounting for the engine cowling support ring.
Could be the ground heater access cover from one of the engine accessory bay covers.
Fuel level float arm end, float itself and main length of the arm are missing.
Looks to be an upper or ball turret traverse ring shock mount.
All the best,
PB
Thanks PB
