A friend of mine and i stumbled on a spot where no one ever searched before.
On the surface lay some items like parts of German gasmasks, a lot of shoes and other stuff.
So we decided to use the detector and give it a try.
That revealed some very interesting items.
We did 3 seperate trips to completly search the area!
And these photos show only the finds i did.
The following finds are from the first trip to that spot.

These finds where done in an area that has not been fought over (in our upinion), proberly the Germans surrenderd at this spot to the US troops.
On most spots you find a lot of shrapnel and shell casings, but not at this spot.
They where proberly surprised and surrenderd without a fight.
My friend found 2 intact EKM's from members of the Luftwaffe but we are still guessing what happend here.
The two NĂ¼ral badges are proberly from forced labourers, perhaps Polish, because i found the Polish uniform buttons nearby.
Maybe they where the ones that where forced to build the defences at that spot and dig the trenches and foxholes.
Also the badge from the German red cross could indicate a first aid station behind the first lines of defence but we would never get the right answer i guess!
