The metal tube, theres no problem with that. but the problem is, that is not very interesting to have just the tube
Ill give another example, deact mortars, deact grenades are equally not allowed.

Where is Auwere? The sniper shield is interesting, know anything about it, how it was used and so on?

Auwere is part of the Narva Battlefield, Ida Virumaa , Estonia. The sniper shield would have been built into a trench or bunker system allowing the sniper to work at head height.
