if its the only weapon available you have to make the most (the sa80 springs to mind there)

Oh Happy days !, what is it about digging up, what most of the time is just a pile of rusting/corroding material, that really gets the blood pumping ?
I spent many hours/days in Normandy through the late 90's early 2000's, detecting in various places and just as in the pictures shown here, dug and found similier items. I can almost smell the soil from your photos Damien.
I must make the effort next year and take my wife and daughter to visit our friends near Vire and just happen to take my mates detector.
In those days I didn't have a digi camera, but some where at home, I do have some good photos, plus in the shed a few of my finds from that time.
