German WW1 Feld flasche cup

I've been having a bit of a sort out at home and came across this aluminium cup that I picked up whilst wandering around Delville Wood back in the early 90's.

I havnt ever cleaned it and its been stored in a box since i bought it home. Ive had a look on the forum pages and I think it is a cup from a German canteen or Feld Flasche.

I decided it was about time I gave it a bit of a clean to see if it is marked in any way. After 10 mins with a light scourer I can make out that its previous owner has scratched his name on it. I read it as 'BOELLE' or 'BOELKE' and with further cleaning I found a 1/4 L stamp.

Give the bracket a good clean on the back. It normally has the makers mark and date.
