Good question, I will ask about that!
Apparently he is recorded as MIA on that date.

So either KIA, taken prisoner and died in a gulag, took off his uniform and disappeared into rural Latvia, etc... Who knows? I will still ask if there were any human remains recovered.

Nice Christmas gifts! My wife of several centuries gave Me a pair of salt and pepper shakers shaped like Pigs....the year before, it was a pottery jar in the form of a pink pig...2 years before that, it was a desk fan shaped like a pig....I'm detecting a subtle message here...

My girlfriend (now Fiancée), gave me a scale model of a British 25 pounder field gun she had found in a antique shop made of brass and bronze.

The following year a series of original watercolours of uniforms, thus marriage is next.

If you find a good one, keep her!
