Grandads digging tool

Hi all,


Yesturday my uncle gave me this knife it was my grandads digging tool for when he went detecting me grandad found it somewhere but we are not sure where, could have been in a shed or something as he did a lot of odd jobs. He was even given a Iron cross that had come from a frist world war battlfield. the lady he was working for her husband had been in WW1 and picked it up when clearing the trenches. All grandad did was move a cubboard


anyway if anybody could ID the knife that would be fantastic

I believe that this is German Army issue knife, I have a very similar Glock Field Knife that I know was based on German design
