...Drem Mk2 castings seem to have been painted signal yellow when originally fitted...

UPDATE
I've closely examined the remaining finish on the recovered C6 parts, and it is a thin black bituminous covering, applied after the unit was bolted down.
No trace of yellow was found underneath this finish.

I am glad you posted the mystery quiz item, as i would have thought it was farm machinery as well. So here is the one i picked up on tuesday on an old 8th base.
Do they have a name?
