Help identifying finds

Hello, went to a ww2 training area yesterday, and found several objects that appear to be some sort of detonator caps?
Does anyone have any idea what they are from / off?

Hmmmm

They are rather small ain't they !

First glance I thought you had some cut through casings like I find on airfields, but they are not that. They almost look like the protective caps off mortar rounds....but again, they are too small.

Lemme have a dig through my stuff......they ring a bell....they really do...

they are from the launching cartridge for the PIAT,Drawing shows position of cartridge and cutaway shows 2 piece construction of cartridge

these items seem to be brass heads of some kind of cartridges, perhaps for hunting purposes.

I have found these i always thought they where really old shot gun cartridges
