Bottoms sure look like .45s the two big ones at the top look like some I find at my site, .380. Look the same at least.

Thanks Dave,no wonder they were happy to leave that one there.There is some other letters on the headstamp ending 'A',but its too badly scored.At what point do you think the firer gave up and realised this one just wasnt going in?

They aren't 9mm cases CB as they look like they're rimmed. 9mm were rimless. The one on the far right looks like a 9mm, (45s were invariably stamped 45ACP or Western), and the other three appear to be .380 cals.

PS The 303 you have IDd as 8IVZ is actually 'B' IV Z. If you check back on the information PB and me gave you on 303s, you'll see what this meant !
