The gates of hell were opened and we accepted the invitation to enter" 26/880 Lance Sgt, Edward Dyke. 26th Bn Northumberland Fusiliers , ( 3rd Tyneside Irish )

very nice paul,was it found then used post war?
Quite often Ewan the Estonians would remove the swastika as they were fighting for Estonia and not the Nazis but retain the SS Motto as they felt part on an elite unit , that said the Russians would also wear captured German belt buckles and remove the swastika for obvious reasons !!!
