It's not much, but I really like restoring them. This one I picked up last week on a battlefield, and is in very good condition, due to the smooth SS type frag sleeve that prevented it to rust through.
It still has alot of its original paint, and a friend of mine has given me a really neat wooden handle for it, what he found in a bunker some years ago, dated 1941. So it will be complete again, and will look great on one of my WH soldiers on display.
Because there was no Sprengkapsel placed in the granade it was no problem to open it up to empty it. Now its filled with clay for the weight.
